Animals : fusion ratio

28/06
11:45
For a few years now, you can name animals when they meet genetical requirements. However, we now face a huge increase in the number of females named in some species. This is in fact done by some players to get around the fusion ratio system and increases hugely the numbers of animals to be named. Thus we decided to change the fusion ratio system. Now, named females are taken into account when calculating the fusion ratio (that was not the case before). Males are still not taken into account as they are used in Artificial Insemination Centers (AICs). Females can still be named, only the calculation changes.

This will make naming less time consuming for our "namers" and will shorten the delay you have to wait to see your animals named.

RAC : Self Service Shop

24/06
12:30
To add more interest to the Regional Agricultural Cooperatives (RACs) activity, they can open a self service shop.

This shop can sell, seeds, phyto-treatments, accessories and more grouped in 5 department. Players will be able to purchase goods from RAC shops just like they do from the SimAgri Cooperative.

A shop is always attached to a RAC or to one of its annexes, the first shop has to be attached to the RAC headquarters. There can only be one shop per headquarter or per annex.
When creating the first shop, RAC partners will have to choose which goods they want to sell. They will have to choose 3 departments out of the shops' 5 and then validate their choice through a vote. Once voted, the 300 m² shop can be built, it costs 30,000 euros. The 3 departments will be the same ones for every shop (headquarter and annexes) their choice is quite important. Later on, however RAC partners will be given the chance to modify their initial choice under some time et specific conditions.

To operate and manage a self service shop, the RAC will have to pick a shop manager and hire an employee.
The manager is one of the RAC partners elected through a vote, he/she will be in charge of the shop management, goods pricing, discounts... In fact he will be the only one in charge in the shop.
The employee is hired (monthly salary of 1750 euros) and takes care of the customers and goods.

Goods are stored in one or several cooperative warehouses.

To sell goods, a shop obviously needs goods. To get goods, the shop manager can order from manufacturers/suppliers, he will have to check prices and also delivery times. The shop manager choices are important.
Once ordered, goods are delivered by transport contractors. Note that all the goods from a same order will be available at the shop only after all of them have been delivered. For exemple if an order delivery requires 3 trips, the goods will be available at the shop only after the 3rd trip.
Once the goods are delivered, you will need a telescopic handler to store them.

To sell goods, the shop manager will have to choose the selling prices taking into account (or not) the manufacturer/supplier advice. You can pick the pricing you want but you will never be allowed to sell below the price you paid the goods. The shop manager can also decide discount prices for customers purchasing large amounts (the discount and amounts will also be decided by the shop manager).

Warning: RACs must activate their unloading area in order to receive goods.

"You can now sign up animals for the GenetiSim Show. You have two weeks to pick up the animals you want to sign up. Remember that an animal who already won a prize can participate again to a contest.

The self service shop development is still on the way. If you are a partner in a RAC, you will find a description of this activity on the bulletin second page. Amongst the goods customers can purchase in a self service shop we have added minerals + vitamines and concentrates for younglings. Theses goods will be sold in the Rearing department."

"This week again we will be working on the new self service shop for the regional Agricultural Cooperatives (RACs).

On the second page of this Bulletin you will find explanations about the self service shop. This is mainly aimed at the RACs partners, thus they will understand a bit more about this new activity that should be in game soon. Note that, about purchases, it will always be possible for players to purchase goods directly from the SimAgri Cooperative with fixed prices. However, if they buy from the self service shop, the prices will be lower..."
